Vandœuvres, June 15, 2025 - For over a decade, the F.P.Journe Golf Cup has marked the beginning of summer at the Golf Club de Genève. For its 12th edition, 148 players gathered to take part in the Greensome, Stableford-format competition, bringing together club members and friends of the Maison.
Founded in 1922, the Golf Club de Genève unfolds its 18-hole course across 47 hectares of natural parkland, overlooking Lake Geneva with the Alps as a majestic backdrop. Designed in 1973 by renowned architect Robert Trent Jones Senior, the course is renowned for its varied challenges, alternating open fairways, protected greens and strategically placed bunkers. GEO Certified (Golf Environment Organization) for its environmental commitment, the club is considered one of the finest courses in Switzerland.
This year's event maintained the atmosphere and pace that have become the hallmark of this annual gathering. Continuing a format introduced in 2024, Michelin-starred chef Dominique Gauthier, of F.P.Journe Le Restaurant, was present to serve one of his signature dishes: roasted langoustine with chanterelles, vegetables from Pierre Gallay and Imperator curry. Among the guests were several collectors from the United States, accompanied by the team from the Maison F.P.Journe New York, further testament to the international appeal of the event.
The prize-giving ceremony was conducted in the late afternoon by François-Paul Journe. The Gross Prize was awarded to Gian-Luigi Sorcinelli and Francisco Gonzalez-Camino, who received a dinner at F.P.Journe Le Restaurant. Alexander Lips and Marc Lemaire topped the net ranking, while Valentin Lorenzini and Luis Bosque Moral were recognised in the Guest category. In the Junior category, first place went to Archibald Liechti and Oscar Ephrati. The Nearest to the pin prizes were awarded to Victor Bouvier for the men and Pascale Lepeu for the women.
